Dreaming San Francisco

In last nights installment of The Little Sleep, our hero had a dream: all the skyscrapers being built in downtown San Francisco were marching west along Geary Boulevard, replicating themselves block by block so that skyscrapers devoured San Francisco...

...who to call? Dirty Harry, who once kept watch on a smaller, less materialistic city. Or Lawrence Ferlinghetti, the famous poet of a time when poets wore magic charms and were granted special powers by the city's charter?

When our hero finally awoke he laughed out loud with the great joy of sudden happiness; he was retired and didn't have to get out of bed and go downtown.
