Helene Cooper's written a terrific piece in this morning's The New York Times (Reporter's Notebook: From a Fateful Motorcade, a View of an American Divide, p.A4) that should give every reader of it hope to believe that at least some small measure of personal introspection and accountability exists in the power structure that is the mainstream media.
